We love
product videos

The amount of information we have to process every day is constantly increasing in our digital world. Our attention is constantly vying for our attention among a sea of options. Content is considered more relevant when it delivers information in a unique way. That’s why it’s important to inform your customers quickly, easily, and in an entertaining way. This is where video comes into play.

Why a product video?

With professional product videos, you can achieve exactly that. Explain your product or service to your customers in a matter of seconds, without them having to read lengthy texts. Videos show products in action, explain how to use them, their applications, and their benefits. This allows your prospective customers to decide more quickly whether they want to learn more about your products or services, thereby increasing your conversion rate.

What makes a good product video?

Not only does it improve the communication of information, but a good product video also resonates emotionally with the viewer through a combination of compelling visuals, text, and music.

Editing and visual composition reinforce your message just as much as the carefully selected narrator. The brand experience for customers is enhanced through moving images.

How do you produce a product video?

To showcase your product in a video, we first need to get to know it. We take a holistic approach to product videos, so we like to get as comprehensive a picture as possible—which is why we start with an initial …

Briefing

Together with you, we’ll get an initial sense of the product and the possible formats: explanatory videos, product trailers, renderings, and animations. Do you already have videos of your company and your products? What are your competitors doing? It’s not just the product and its functionality that matter—its context is important too. What does your corporate design look like? Where will the video be shown? Are there different language versions?

Synopsis

Based on the initial briefing, we’ll work on the first ideas for your product video. We’ll present these to you in the form of brief synopses so you can get a sense of the basic concept, the visual style, and the general storyline.

Storyboarding & Screenplay

Based on the agreed-upon basic concept, we develop a detailed storyboard and a script that specify all shots and shot sizes, as well as the plot and any dialogue.

Production Planning

Once the storyboard is complete, you can plan all the remaining steps: shooting schedules, cast, camera, lighting, and makeup. Or illustration, animation, and 3D modeling. And, of course, planning for post-production, sound design, and color grading. In other words, all the steps involved in creating your product video.

Production

Now things are really getting started. We’re producing the footage for your product video. Filming takes place at Realfilm, whether on location at your company or in our studio in front of a green screen. Animations and 3D models are rendered, and illustrations are created.

Editing & Post-production

Once the content has been produced, we move on to editing. Using the storyboard and script, we assemble all the produced elements into a first rough cut, which we then review with you. After you approve the rough cut, we begin work on the final product. In our sound studio, we create the soundscape using music, sound effects, and voice-over.

How much does a product video cost?

Every product video is as unique as the product or service it’s meant to showcase. The cost depends on many factors: What type of video will it be? Animated film, live-action film, 2D or 3D rendering, music, voice-over, or multiple language versions. After an initial briefing, we can assess your needs for a product video solution, make some initial recommendations, and then provide a cost estimate or a detailed quote—all with no obligation.
