App: Design, Development, and Programming

Safety is a top priority at the energy company E.ON. As part of this commitment, new and existing buildings are regularly inspected for potential hazards. In the past, a checklist—known as the “Walk & Talk” card—was used to document any defects.

Effective immediately, we are implementing an app that we developed and designed in collaboration with the company’s IT department. With this Android-based app, damage reports can now be digitally recorded, archived, and immediately sent as PDF files to the appropriate departments for repair. This functionality is complemented by the integration of an image database, which allows users to attach JPEGs to the report.

After our film department had previously produced and created several instructional videos and matching Plexiglas safety displays in the Playmobil design for the electricity giant, the app was the first project for our web department.
