Brand Strategy Reloaded...

Our client GCI, a software company based in Dortmund, approached us at the start of the project with the request to refresh their GCI brand, as the brand identity was no longer up to date.
It quickly became clear during the first workshop that the entire company actually revolves around the KOSS product—an ERP software solution for small and medium-sized businesses. In the process that followed, we developed a brand strategy that focuses on the KOSS product and established a visual identity for this brand. The GCI corporate identity therefore remained unchanged, and the focus shifted to developing a corporate design for the KOSS product. As part of this effort, we launched a comprehensive branding process, during which we developed the word and figurative mark, the brand colors, the brand typeface, visual language, a brand voice, and a brand mission statement.

All of these elements come together on the new website.

The entire development and coordination process was handled exclusively with the business and sales management, without the rest of the GCI staff having any idea about it. On the day of the relaunch event, employees were surprised—among other things—with new office furnishings that impressively showcased the new brand identity. The relaunch was a success thanks to detailed planning, the tact required for such a large-scale relaunch, and a commitment to detail at every level. Both employees and customers were impressed and look forward to following the roadmap for digital business processes in the future.
