: A Long-Term Documentary

Over the course of two years, we documented the development of the resource conservation community in Bedburg for E.ON.
The goal: to document the progress of construction, sustainable building practices, and the resource-efficient use of modern energy technology, and to highlight the stories of the families building their homes.

From groundbreaking to moving in
From the groundbreaking ceremony to the move-in, we were regularly on site. We photographed, filmed, and gathered personal impressions directly from the people who were creating their new homes here. The result is a comprehensive collection of images, supplemented by numerous conversations with those involved.

Focus on Sustainability
The housing development relied on modern technologies and well-thought-out energy concepts to conserve resources and maximize the share of renewable energy.
We closely followed the home-building process of two selected families. Their personal experiences, challenges, and moments of success gave the documentary an emotional depth that went far beyond blueprints and technology. From the footage gathered over two years, a film was created that brought together the most important moments, insights, and emotions. An inspiring look at the possibilities of sustainable building and living.
