Our client, SSP AG, is one of Germany’s leading integrated planning firms. In addition to its headquarters in Bochum, SSP AG has offices in Aachen, Berlin, and Karlsruhe. To meet the growing demand for skilled professionals, SSP wanted its own modern and interactive career portal with a good user experience (UX) to enable direct applications to SSP.

We developed the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) based on the existing corporate design, while creating new design grids, elements, and a unique visual language for the portal. At the heart of the portal is the structured application process. The entire process is automated—from applicants easily finding job postings, through the actual application process, to an email notification confirming the successful receipt of the application sent to both the applicants and SSP itself, as well as the creation of a database entry in the system.

In addition to the job postings themselves, the portal features comprehensive information about SSP AG as an employer and about its individual locations. This information is supplemented for applicants with testimonials about everyday work life at SSP. We produced the accompanying visual content through individual photo shoots at the various locations. The hero video playing in the header area was, of course, also produced entirely in-house by us.

Finally, before the portal went live, the employees of SSP’s HR department received training on the custom-developed TYPO3 elements during a workshop so that they could take over maintenance of the portal themselves.

And, of course, we’ve been providing technical support ever since the system went live.
