Brochures: Design, Illustration, Word Mark
The parishes in the Diocese of Münster continually ask themselves how they can ensure that their local ministry is sustainable for the future. The results are summarized in a pastoral plan and published for all those responsible for pastoral work.
We have now developed a design concept for the pastoral plans of the parishes of St. Antonius and St. Peter in Recklinghausen. The basis for the diverse illustrations is old map material from the Münster administrative district, Recklinghausen county, dating from 1845. People and objects were rendered in silhouette form, symbolizing the content of the respective chapters. An arrow—taken from the existing logo, a composite cross made up of many triangles—marks the location of each parish. The wordmark “WORTREICH” was created in reference to the church newspaper geistREICH. The two 16-page brochures, featuring different content and illustrations, were printed in a total run of 13,000 copies.
